Time To Buy A New Watch
Just when I thought all of the purchases for the Maldives were over, my ‘holiday’ watch decided to give up on me at the weekend, so after leaving it for a couple of days to see if it would fix itself (like it’s magic or something!) it was time to spend yet more money.
The holiday watch also doubles as my football watch, as it’s the only one I’ve got with a stopwatch/timer on it. Last year on holiday it started playing up and so we knew it was only a matter of time before it would need replacing. First of all the light broke so that when the button was pressed the face would go blank, which was of no use whatsoever. Then it would get into the habit of resetting itself (something which my mobile phone has started doing so that may need replacing soon as well) and so I would end up changing the time every couple of days.
But when it finally gave up on me after Sunday’s game it was time to look at getting a new holiday watch. Something cheap, digital, waterproof, and cheap! Trawling around the web I eventually found a contender at WatchesShop.com, a nice little Casio that seemed to do the job, and was less than £25.
Waterproof to a hundred metres, a 10 year battery and not hideously ugly either! And not only was this the cheapest that I could find it at the time but I also earnt 6% cashback through Quidco! Result!
