Still No End In Sight
So, it’s about time for an update on the whole moving house thing I guess…
After the flooring saga
we popped up to the house last weekend to find the carpets all finished. Downstairs the TLC hadn’t been laid yet but they had screeded the floor to get it all flat.
The only other changes were that the shower had been installed in the main bathroom and the garage was nearly finishe, the roof was on and they were sorting out the door while we were there.
On the buyer front, well they appear to be real and our solicitors have sent over all the preliminary paperwork to their solicitor. We received a letter from the estate agent the other day saying that they had accepted the offer on our instruction, despite us not actually agreeing to the sale. It just kind of happened, basically because the developer wanted it to. Another case of the estate agents working on his behalf and not ours!
The next step is to organise how we arrange for the £10k shortfall to be made up. Will it be paid to us via the sale of our house, or will it be knocked off the asking price? Who knows…?
