More Maldives Purchases

Less than two weeks to go now, and even though I thought we’d managed to buy everything required for our holiday to the Maldives, I managed to spend even more money today on items for our already over-packed suitcases!

We’ve got the fins, the masks and the snorkels but we needed something to put it all in so that it doesn’t get lost, and would also allows it to dry out. After some searching we finally found a diver’s mesh bag on eBay for about £8. Add in a delivery charge and it came to a shade under £12. Not bad when you consider some websites were selling the exact same bag for about £15 without delivery charges!

Next up was some more footwear. Usually on holiday one pair of ‘smart shoes’ is enough to wear to dinner each night, but this year the gf has persuaded me not to take any of these, but to go for the more casual flip flop. A plain flip flop, with no garish motifs or patterns. Not as easy to find as you may think, without spending more than £15! A search of ebay threw up nothing. Amazon was the same. In the end we both settled on one of the only pairs we could find, plain black Havaianas for about £11 each. Aaahhh bless, we’ve got matching ones!

I think that this is finally it. Nothing more to buy. But I’m sure she’ll be able to come up with something else that we need. There’s not much time left now before we go, so that should be the last of the internet orders at least!
