Flowers? Check. Colour Scheme? Check. Finally!

Now that the bridesmaid’s dresses have been chosen, we’re finally able to decide on what kind of colour scheme to have to decorate the wedding reception room.

And get ready for a shock, the colours that we’re planning to use* is…black and silver! With a tiny bit of pink!

The fiancée and I spent about an hour last night chatting to Laurie of Cherry Tree Events deciding on what colours of flowers and decorations to have at the venue. She was really helpful and came up with some good ideas especially as neither of us had a clue as to what we wanted.

The main problem we have is that the room we’re having the reception in is quite plain, and is essentially a conference room. It doesn’t have as much character as somewhere like Cooling Castle Barn has, so we need to do something to make it stand out without going overboard and ending up looking tacky!

By the end of the meeting we had managed to come up with flowers for her and the bridesmaids, buttonholes for me and the best man, table centre pieces, including the vases and flowers, chair covers, sashes, and other table decorations These have all been colour coordinated in an understated way to give an air of elegance (not my words, honest!)
