Superbowl 2015 Incoming

Now that the two teams that will face each other in this year’s Superbowl are known, it’s time to start planning for the Superbowl Gathering that we will be hosting this year.

The most important thing to sort out is the drink as the aim is to find beers that come from the home cities or towns (or failing that, the state) that the two teams come from. This year the game will be between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots and so the hunt is on to find local beers for these two teams.

Fortunately there are some companies that sell US beers here in the UK and so trying to find some ales or lagers from the states of Maine or Washington shouldn’t be too difficult. If we are unable to do so then the fallback will be to find some either from Arizona, where the game is being played, or the easy option of New York where the headquarters of the NFL are.

To go with the American beers, we’re going to need American food, or food that you’d eat at a ball game but this should be relatively easy to do. Hot dogs and burgers are the obvious choices, or you could go with chicken wings or philly cheese steak sandwiches for something a little bit different.

We’ve got a week or so to find what we need, so we best get cracking…
