Ross Noble
Last night, after grabbing some last minute tickets, we went to see Ross Noble at the Central Hall in Chatham on his “Nonsensory Overload” tour. I haven’t seen him in the flesh before but have been a fan for a while and have seen his DVDs, listened to his shows and generally enjoyed his rambling musings on all things ‘normal’.
The first half of the show followed his usual pattern of engaging with the audience, ‘picking’ on a few members of the audience and poking fun of the town he’s currently in. This isn’t very hard when it comes to Chatham as it’s a shithole!
The first half wasn’t as funny as we’d been expecting and the wife commented on the fact and we both hoped the second half would be better.
We shouldn’t have doubted it because the second half was absolutely hilarious. God knows how much of his shows are scripted, but Ross is able to jump about from one random topic to another with ease, making the whole show seem like it is being made uup on the spot, especially as he continues to reference people and places from the first half of the show.
If you get a chance to go and see him on his tour then do so, it is a fricking funny show that will have you giggling like an idiot for ages!
