Comedy For Cancer
No, that’s not an offer of a swap, last night The Wife and I along with one of The Wife’s sisters spent the evening at the Royal Albert Hall for the Teenager Cancer Trust’s Comedy Gig.
As the sister-in-law works for the TCT she was able to buy some tickets just prior to them going on general sale to the public and so we had pretty good seats sat in the third row. We couldn’t get any closer as the first two rows were ‘corporate’ tickets but the 3rd row was pretty good!
On the bill were Jason Manford, Patrick Kielty, Hal Cruttenden, John Bishop, Rob Beckett and Micky Flanagan. Of all of the comics, Beckett and Flanagan smashed it while the others were a bit hit and miss.
Part way through the gig, Roger Daltrey took to the stage to introduce a short film by UK director Shane Meadows, showing the lives of some of the kids that the charity supports.
