Cup Final Here We Come

Despite going 3-0 up against Pegasus, we managed to hold on in the last few minutes after they scored two late goals to make it 3-2, to make it into our second cup final of the season. It’s like waiting for a bus, nothing for ten years and then two in one season!

The scoreline flattered our opponents, as we were looking very comfortable throughout the game and had we not scored an own goal I doubt they would have scored at all. But that goal gave them a bit of confidence to go on and score a second which they probably didn’t deserve!

What was more of a surprise is that we won the game despite fielding a weaker squad! We had players missing through injury, and were forced into making two substitutions quite early on. But the team put in a good performance to see off the Pegasus threat.

So we make it to Chatham Town again, this time to play a team who play in a division above us, although who that will be we don’t know yet as the other semi final doesn’t take place until next week, but it will either be Aquachain or Teynham Wanderers.
