WTF? #1

So there I was, catching up on the news via the BBC website while having my breakfast this morning and 2 items have made me exclaim aloud, “WTF?” so much that it startled my colleague.

The first story was “Apple sorry for ‘Baby Shaker’ app“. where a game available for download from iTunes required you to shake your iPhone to quieten a crying baby. Apparently this caused offense with some groups because shaking a baby is a bad thing. The game was subsequently removed and Apple claimed they didn’t know how it had got approval to be put on the store.

One of my favourite quotes in the story is this one:

Jetta Bernier, executive director of Massachusetts Citizens for Children, said: “I am disheartened that with this new application Apple is encouraging frustrated adults to shake infants, not only to end their crying, but to end their lives.

No they f**king aren’t! It’s a bloody game! On a phone! No babies are being harmed

How stupid do you have to be if you don’t know the difference between what is a game and what is real? If you can’t see any, then you’re probably too stupid to have become a parent in the first place! In fact, hand your kids over right now to the authorities you’re not fit to be in charge of anyone or anything!
