Those Annoying Co-Workers
Now I’m quite an easy-going and tolerant person but there are some people in my office who annoy the fuck out of me.
Don’t worry, I’m not going to be naming names here, that would be ridiculous. I know not to dig myself into a hole, and anyway, I don’t know who the people are, I haven’t caught them in the act. I’m referring mainly to a group of people anyway as I doubt it is just one person responsible for everything here!
Let’s start off with the messy people who have an inability to clear up after themselves…
First up, the person who manages to spill coffee all around the taps and around the sink. I presume they’re filling a pot up and that the angle makes it difficult to fill up without spilling but that’s no excuse for not clearing up afterwards!
Then we have the ‘coffee and sugar sprinklers’. The type of people who find it hard to transfer a teaspoon of coffee or sugar from a tin to a cup without throwing half of it all over the work surfaces. They are related to the people who manage to get coffee mixed in with the sugar, so now my cereal tastes funny!
Hands up if you know how to use a dishwasher? You do? Well done, you’re more intelligent than some people here. Common sense dictates scrape off/rinse before placing inside doesn’t it? Well we have people who pour their left overs into the dishwasher, covering everything in the process.
In the restrooms we have a particular nasty type of person, he who doesn’t wash his hands after going to the toilet! There is no excuse for that. It’s the most disgusting thing ever. I’ve seen this happen a couple of times and I would like to get those people, fill a sink of water and shove their faces in it until they understand how disgusting it is. Or they drown! Whichever comes first.
There are also a group of people who must have spent many years mastering the skill of getting more water around the sink than in it. As a result when I go to wash my hands I run the risk of getting a water stain across my crotch that makes me look like I’ve had an accident!
Now admittedly none of these are big things and this may come across as a petty rant but they happen every single day. No one cares enough to look after the place that we all have to work in. Which is a shame cos it’s a nice office but ruined by a select group of morons!
