Sarah Millican, Home Bird

Last night, The Wife and I headed on down to Canterbury’s Marlowe Theatre to watch stand up funny lady Sarah Millican in her latest show, Home Bird.

We’ve been a fan of Sarah’s ever since we saw her (on TV) shortly after winning the Best Newcomer award at the Edinburgh Fringe 6 years ago. We didn’t manage to see her live though for a couple of years when she played our local comedy club in 2010, but at the beginning of 2012 we saw her again in a small venue testing out some new material.

Along with Miranda Hart, Sarah has the ability to turn The Wife into a giggling idiot with relative ease. So we were in for a fun night.

The first laugh of the night comes as Sarah takes to the stage and everyone realises that she’s in her slippers. The title of the show is Home Bird so the slippers are quite apt. The night continued with much merriment and some quite rude jokes as well, but that’s why we like her!
