Las Vegas Day Off #1
After ten days of driving, today was a welcome break from behind the wheel and the chance to relax without having somewhere to be that evening.
We spent last night in Gilley’s, a country and western bar in our hotel listening to a live band and watching people fail miserably at riding a mechanic bull.
After a nice long lie-in, and finding out that West Ham had won 4-0, we headed over to the Wynn to pick up our tickets for ‘La Reve’ which we’re off to see this evening, grabbed a late breakfast, then took a stroll down the strip. The place has changed a lot since we were here 9 years ago, it’s a different place. There are so many more hotels here now the place is a little cramped, I preferred it how it used to be.
We stopped off to see the lions at MGM, picked up a couple of alcoholic slushies at Coyote Ugly in New York New York (The Wife needed to replenish her Coyote Ugly cup collection), viewed the aquarium and picked up some more alcoholic slushies at Caesars Palace and then watched the fountains at the Bellagio.
Trying to decide whether or not to hit the poker tables tomorrow or the pool. Tough choice….
