Accident Update – Trouble With Lease Company

It was time to take my car down to Dagenham Motors today to drop off my little Punto so it could have it’s rear panel replaced after last month’s accident and to pick up the courtesy car I would have while mine was in the garage.

Or well it would have been had the company actually dropped the hire car off. After waiting 15 minutes for them to turn up I managed to get them on the phone to be told that they hadn’t received a form back from me (despite having filled it in online) and had cancelled my car.

So that left me at the garage with no means of getting back home or to the train station to get to work. Fortunately the garage offered to drive me home and when I got there the lease company had re-sent the form for me to fill in and so I did and then went to work.

Just after lunch I get a phone call telling me that the courtesy car will be delivered that afternoon to my house. But I’m not there, I’m at work.

Fortunately, I’m feeling like crap, so having booked a doctors appointment for Friday I head back off home using the illness as part of the reason to go home. And when I get there I find the car has already been delivered and the paperwork and keys have been shoved through my letterbox. So I needn’t have rushed home!
