A Decade Done
Today was a landmark day as I celebrated 10 years in my job!
On the same day that Facebook launched in 2004, I started working for a company called Decide Interactive, who operated out of a couple of small rooms just off Oxford Street. A couple of years later they were bought out by 24/7 Real Media, who were themselves bought out by WPP in 2008. So although I have only been with my current company since 2008 It’s been ten years of continuous employment.
I worked out that in that time I have worked in 7 different office locations, 12 desks and had 6 job titles.
I’ve met and worked with some great people in that time, there’s a group of us that meet up every now and again despite all moving on to different jobs, but I’ve obviously had my fair share of dealing with total idiots as well. I think we’ve all been there haven’t we?
So here’s to the next decade. Will I still be a Technology Evaluation Manager in 2024? Who knows, but hopefully there’s no more moving offices!
