Wake Up & Smell The Coffee

Working from home full time during these covid times does have its benefits. None more so than saving an absolute fortune not having to commute into London 4 days a week!

It also means that I now drink more coffee at home. So I thought what better way to spend some of that money I’m saving by not travelling than buying a nice coffee machine?

After much deliberation I settled on a Nespresso VertuoPlus machine in black that came with some free coffee capsules and an Aeroccino as well. “What’s an Aeroccino?” I hear you ask? It’s a milk frother.

With Nespresso you sign up to a subscription of diffierent coffee pods to be delivered each month. FOr the first few months I reckon I’ll be trying out lots of different flavours and sizes to find out which is my favourite. Will anything come close to my favourite Caramel Machiatto from Starbucks?

I’ve ordered some nice coffee glasses in various sizes: espresso, double espresso, and lungo. Maybe I’ll get a little coffee powder shaker and some templates to make pretty pictures and patterns on the top of the drink like some kind of wanky barista!
