Twitter, ye not?
What do you mean you haven’t heard of Twitter? Been living under a rock have we?
For the uninitiated, Twitter is the latest social networking phenomenon. A service for friends, family, and co–workers to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question – What are you doing?
Through 140 character-limited missives known as ‘tweets’, you can keep in touch with anyone you choose to follow or allow to follow you. The majority of people who tweet tend to follow celebrities but you have to be very wary of fakes. A good way of keeping up to date is to follow @valebrity or check their website http://valebrity.com/. It’s up-to-date and usually on the button, however even they occasionally get tricked.
I could wite a definitive guide about how to Twitter but there are already loads of guides aroud that will tell you exactly how to do that, although the best one I have found belongs to <ahem> Phillip Schofield (@schofe).
So who are the best celebrities to follow? Well these may not be to everybody’s tastes but here’s a selection of those that I stalk:
- Stephen Fry – genius
- Tim Minchin – musical comedy at it’s finest
- Rob Brydon – comedian, actor and now singer!
- Phill Jupitus – buzzcock and stand up-ish fella
So now you know the basics, go sign up and start tweeting…
