Day Four With Added Crap TV
Since starting jury service I have been introduced to the ‘delights’ of day time TV. In our waiting room/holding pen we have a TV on all day so we can pass the time while we sit on our arses waiting to be called to serve on a jury. This TV is stuck on BBC all day, and as we can’t turn the volume down we are forced to listen to the inane ramblings of idiots all day.
Every single program that comes on during the morning is about money. There’s a consumer watchdog show where people who have been ripped off get in touch with the show and they fight for their cause. Then there’s a show where two “celebrities” or “specialists” (can’t decide what they are!) each have to buy stuff and sell it to make more than the other person.
Then there’s a program where people sell what they have lying around their house so that they can go on holiday, or buy a car, or some such crap. And this is followed by a program where two couples each have to buy stuff and sell it to make more than the other team
Do you see a pattern there? So much for originality in the BBC’s broadcasting!
What is annoying is that the people are either pretentious wankers or dumb idiots with personalities of dung beetles. Dead ones! Who in their right mind would watch this crap? Probably those without the use of their fingers to change the channel!
So into day four of jury service and still nothing. Nada! More book reading means I’m now onto my second novel and as long as I blank out the drone from the TV I’m fine!
