Farewell To 2015. A Review
I thought 2015 was a quiet year but looking back on it, there’s been loads that I got up to. So here’s a look back at some of the highlights from what historians are already calling two thousand and fifteen…
In February we host the second of our Superbowl party nights, we relaunch our Funday Mondays at work and go bowling and hit The Comedy Store before it all fizzles out again a month later, and I get injured playing football. Again!
April’s relatively quiet with not much going on, but things get busy in May. After 34 years of getting up early on a Sunday morning I play my last game of football and retire from the game. I also suffer an injury to my knee which sees me visiting the hospital a number of times to get to the bottom of the cause of my pain. I also have another problem which requires a few hospital visits.
The next couple of months consists mainly of visits to the hospital for consultations, MRIs and assessments of my knee as the pain continues, putting a downer on my social life. In July our company hires out a private area at Lovebox for our summer party, the first festival i’ve ever been to. And probably the last one as well!
My gaming picks up in August as the incredible Rocket League is released on PS4, for free. I have since devoted hundreds of hours to the game and loads of videos of it on my You Tube Channel, including this great goal.
We hit the comedy trail again in September to see Rob Beckett in Maidstone and after seeing Weird Al Yankovic in concert again at the beginning of October we escape the country as we book a last minute holiday to Antigua to try and chill before the end of the year.
Work gets busy again in November and so there isn’t much play time although we do get to see comedian Jimeoin on his latest tour.
In December I take a trip to the O2 Arena to see Duran Duran and we have our company Christmas Party at the Natural History Museum before breaking up for the festive period.
There was also one other thing going on in my life that hasn’t been documented here but there may be more news about that in 2016. Here’s to an exciting year to come!
