SDC Update Data Feed Specifications
Shopping.com have announced the latest update to their feed specifications. Feed Specs 2.0 gives the client the tools to provide richer data feeds to SDC.
Taken from their latest newsletter…
Over the past year, you may have heard that we’ve been developing a New User Experience or ‘Unique Value Proposition’. This will be rolled out in stages and represents a real win for both merchants and users.
Continuing our efforts to improve cost of sale and conversion to sale ratios (especially during these difficult economic times), we have focused our attention on providing a richer consumer experience. This has been achieved by making the product views stand out with larger images, introducing more precise and varied product details, availability information, highlighting merchandising opportunities and improving navigation.
Richer Consumer Experience = Improved Conversion to Sale
But we can’t achieve this without your help. To really make this work, we need you to provide us with richer data to update the new feeds (before 1st June deadline).
Here is some of the information and data we will need…
Larger Images to make your products really stand out
Minimum size requirement
300 X 300 pixels
New Merchandising & Product Attributes, so that we are offering the most precise product details. The new attributes include:
Stock Availability (Yes or No)
Condition (New, Used, Refurbished)
Category Product Attributes (MPN, EAN, Gender, Colour…etc)
New Required Fields in the feed to improve navigation
Merchant SKU and Brand/Manufacturer will also become required fields on 30th August 2009*.
