BST Hyde Park
For the third year running our work summer party sees us going to a music festival. Unlike the last couple of years though, we weren’t heading to Lovebox, but the more ‘grown-up’ BST at Hyde Park. As usual we had an exclusive area set aside with a free bar and, as usual, and had some vouchers for some food so people had the opportunity to soak up some of the alcohol they were pouring down their throats.
The headline act on our day were the Kings of Leon, not a band that I’m a fan of, in fact I could only name you one of their songs*, so I wasn’t that bothered in seeing them. In fact none of the acts over the day had the “oooh, must see them’ factor. The Pixies were naff and Highly Suspect (who?) were missable. The only band I really enjoyed were Frightened Rabbit.
But it was a free day out, and we weren’t in the office, so I can’t really complain!
